Enthusiasm High for RESDA Novice Program

October 15, 2009 - Santa Rosa
With the closing of the Redwood Empire Sheep Dog Association's 2009 trialing season, novice and pro/novice handlers alike have been gathering at Karen Kollgaard's Shoestring Ranch to prepare for next year.
The Columbus Day practice saw handlers and dogs working two courses. One was a short RESDA style course with two sets of panels, a y-chute and a pen. The other was a drive away course consisting of two panels and pen on the newly leveled Back 40.
Lorin Dewees & Indy, Nancy Bovee & Gus, Tom Radelfinger & Luke, Bob Fleming with Peaches & Lynne, Karen Kollgaard & Meg, Maureen Lyons with Karen's Piper, and George Powell & Gracie enjoyed the work and camaraderie of the day. The program will continue throughout the winter as weather permits.
The next Novice Practice is tentatively scheduled for Sunday Oct. 18 from 10-2.
Call Karen Kollgaard to RSVP and get details @ 707-584-5762, or email her at karen95407@yahoo.
